Overview
Fenotype is a personal self-reflection and lightweight journaling app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. The app is designed to be local-first: most of your data stays on your device.
Data Storage
Fenotype stores your journal entries, tags, timelines, and app data primarily locally on your device. The app does not transmit this content to a server by default.
Account & Authentication
Account creation and sign-in are optional. You can use Fenotype without creating an account. If you choose to use account features, authentication and account data may be handled by Supabase, our authentication provider.
Permissions
Fenotype only requests device permissions when you use a feature that needs them:
- Microphone & speech recognition are used only when you choose to transcribe an entry.
- Photo library access is requested only if you choose a feature that saves or shares an image.
Data Sharing
Fenotype does not sell your personal data.
Medical Disclaimer
Fenotype is not a medical device. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, or crisis support. If you are in crisis or need medical help, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
Deleting Your Data
You can delete local app data using the in-app data deletion option, where available, or by uninstalling the app from your device.
